The B.C. Northern Exhibition is getting a boost thanks to $70,000 in provincial funding.
The money will be put towards a rodeo, a battle of the bands, and a taste market featuring locally grown food. Other attractions will include draft horse and barrel racing, the 4H Auction and a number of other activities.
“The B.C. Northern Exhibition is a summer highlight here in Prince George,” Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Mike Morris says in a news release. “Regional fairs like these help build a sense of community and support not only our local farmers, but farmers throughout the north-central Interior. It’s part of our culture and offers a variety of fun activities for people from all walks of life. I encourage residents and visitors alike to attend and see what the exhibition has to offer.”
The BCNE runs from August 12-16 at Exhibition Park.
