The search for a missing 15-year-old along the Fraser River has been suspended.
Prince George RCMP have identified the teen as William Quail of Prince George. On Friday afternoon, crews responded to the river where it meets the Hudson’s Bay Wetland Nature Park. It’s believed Quail and a friend went swimming in the area, when the teen was swept under.
Crews searched by land, boat and helicopter, but found nothing. The RCMP dive team joined the efforts yesterday, assisted by Prince George Search and Rescue. The investigation is still considered a missing persons case.
Quail is described as a Caucasian male, 5’5″ and 120 lbs with short blonde hair and blue eyes. Mounties say he was last seen wearing blue jeans, gold and black DC-brand shoes and a black t-shirt.
