BC Hydro says no power was lost during emergency repairs in the Prince George area this morning.
Spokesperson Bob Gammer says the Chief Lake substation load was transferred to the Foothills substation during the repairs, then switched back without issue. Customers weren’t drawing much electricity at the time of the changeover.
“The timing was good. Early on a Saturday morning, things are typically quiet, so it worked very well to do this,” Gammer says.
BC Hydro had warned of possible outages in the Hart, Ness Lake, Nukko Lake and Salmon Valley areas between 5:30 and 8:30 a.m.
