Some Prince George university students got a lesson in ethical food production today — along with a caffeine boost. It’s a part of UNBC’s first-ever Fair Trade Campus Week. A member of the Ethical Bean Coffee company was at the university, giving out free samples of coffee. Some local businesses were also there to showcase their fair trade products. Fair Trade Campus Week is aimed at increasing awareness of ethical food practices, including proper wages and good labour standards in countries outside of Canada. Certified fair trade products bear the green, blue and black logo of Fairtrade Canada.
