The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns scored in the 88th minute to salvage a 1 – 1 draw with the UNBC Timberwolves in CIS women’s soccer play Friday night. The late heroics dashed UNBC’s hopes of winning itsfirst game of the regular season. Ashley Anderson has staked the T-Wolves to the lead in the 32nd minute. With the result, UNBC’s record stands at 0 – 5 – 2 while Lethbridge moves to 2 – 2- 3. The Lady T-wolves will host the University of Calgary Sunday at noon in their final home game of the season.
The UNBC men’s squad will have their hands full this weekend, hosting the second ranked team in the CIS for a pair of games. The T-wolves face the UBC Thunderbirds Saturday and Sunday at 2:15.
