The spookiest day of the year is almost upon us. From tiny tots to ghostly grannies, people of all ages are getting into the Halloween spirit. Some of the costume ideas this year are on the traditional side and others are more creative.
For some the spooky holiday is all about coming up with the perfect costume to wow their friends.
Spirit Halloween’s William Madge says this year a lot of people are returning to the root of the holiday with their ideas.
“A lot of like mummy costumes, and zombies, and walking dead.”
Every year Karen and Mike Allan decorate their yard to scare trick-or-treaters.
“Every year it gets bigger and better. We live in a cul-de-sac so several people take part in it. So there’s several houses decorated. The best part is if the kids are too scared to come to the door, you know you’ve done your job. That’s the best part.”
And when asked what makes Halloween so great, their answer is simple.
“It’s just a time I think you can dress up, be whoever you want. People relax a little more when you’re dressed up. You don’t need to know anybody to scare them.”
So for a memorable Halloween, get out there and be whatever you want to be.
