An investigation is underway following the Greyhound Bus crash that took place Thursday morning on Highway 97, twelve kilometers north of Hixon.
Greyhound has few details about the driver’s history with the company and the passengers on board. Nine people were injured when the bus came off the highway and taken to the University Hospital here in Prince George, three passengers sustained serious injuries. Greyhound Spokesperson, Lanesha Gipson says the company is cooperating with North District RCMP as it conducts its investigation.
“The cause of the incident has not yet been determined. We’re fully cooperating with local authorities on their investigation as well as conducting an investigation of our own. We’re just looking at everything from the time they left the station to the time the incident occurred to find out exactly what took place.”
