Premier Christy Clark had nothing but praise for the 900-plus gathered at the Natural Resources Forum.
She says it’s because of commitments made to things like the resource sector that BC will have the fastest growing economy in the country in the foreseeable future. Clark revealed the positive news to the crowd of 900 attendees. Alta Gas has announced an agreement with Ridley Terminals in Prince Rupert to develop, build and operate the proposed Propane Export Terminal. The facility will be designed to ship up to 1.2 million tonnes of propane per year. The project will cost $400 and $500 million, which is good news for the province.
“It’ll put them at about a two billion dollar investment in BC. Their plan is to get to six (billion) by 2020. It’s really going to make a difference for the Northwest, as well. It’s another example of why we’re growing. We’re diverse. We’re focused on trying to support industry in all different areas.
