Prince George resident Millie Allen is being hailed a hero after the November 4th fire at the Chateau Seniors Care Facility.
Allen heard the fire alarm go off and noticed fire and smoke coming from her neighbours suite. Without even thinking, she went next door and rescued her neighbour.
Today Allen’s heroism was recognized by the regions two MLA’s, Mayor Lyn Hall, and the Prince George Fire Department.
Allen received the Fire Commissioner’s Commendation. The award recognizes individuals who make outstanding contributions to fire safety in BC.
