A group of UNBC students may have a warm bed to sleep in and a roof over their head, but instead they’re spending their nights outside in the cold for the annual ‘5 Days For The Homeless’ Campaign.
The aim is to raise awareness for the Prince George homeless population and to simulate the unfortunate circumstances they go through each day.
Students at the university pledged to raise $2,000 by the end of the week and have already received $600 and more than 300 non-perishable food donations from local businesses and fellow students.
The group began their journey last Sunday and will continue to seek donations until this Friday.
To donate, you can visit them all week at UNBC’s Winter Garden where they will be spending the rest of their nights.
