Police are looking at a single suspect for a pair of weekend robberies.
Just before 11 on Saturday night, police were called to the 29-Hundred Block of 5th Avenue. That’s where a man entered the store, produced a weapon and demanded cash and cigarettes. The employees complied and the suspect fled on foot.
The following night, a man entered a retail business in the 41-Hundred Block of 15th Avenue and demanded cash. But he fled before getting any money.
Police say they have investigated five armed robberies since mid-February and believe they may be committed by the same person.
