Council has approved moving forward with getting the public on board with five capital projects. To do that, though, it would require the City to borrow more than $10 million. The projects are:
*upgrades to the Second Avenue Parkade = $2.7 million,
*Plaza Parkade upgrade = $1.1 million,
*repairs to Willowcale Road = $1.8 million,
*City Fleet replacement = $4.5 million,
*Kin 3 Arena floor replacement = $1 million
The City will go through the alternate approval process to gauge the electorate’s appetite to borrow the money.
