The City is seeking public input for its pending parks plan. Five dates have been set aside for neighbourhood meetings, asking parks users what they see as priorities for future park uses. The City currently maintains 1,900 hectares of parks and open space, five times the size of Stanley Park.
“Prince George residents value their parks and the City wishes to improve them,” says Mayor Lyn Hall. “On behalf of Council, I invite residents to participate in this Park Strategy and provide us with your thoughts. Your input is important and will help to shape the future of parks within your neighborhood and the community at large.”
The public input sessions are as follows:
Wednesday, April 27 6:00pm to 8:00pm College Heights Secondary School Tennis Courts
Saturday, April 30 12:00pm to 2:00pm Duchess Park Playground
Sunday, May 1 10:00am to 4:00pm Canada Games Plaza (YMCA Healthy Kids Day)
Wednesday, May 4 6:00pm to 8:00pm Blackburn Community Hall
Thursday, May 5 6:00pm to 8:00pm Cpl. Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park
