PG Gnats Drop Second Straight Versus Terrace In League Play

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

After dropping their first game of the season to Williams Lake, the PG Gnats Rugby Club needed to right the ship and quickly against a strong Terrace Northmen on Saturday.

At 2-0, the Northmen needed just one more win to lock up the north and earn their place at provincials.

Stingy defence was the name of the game early on in this matchup, with big hits from both sides. However, as ball retention became an issue for the Gnats, Terrace took advantage of their speed and fitness finding gaps to exploit on the outside. Eventually rolling to a, clean sheet, 47-0 victory over their PG Rivals.

The Gnats now host Willams Lake on July 9th before getting another crack at the boys from the Skeena River at home.
