VanHage, Caron Earn Medals, Memories In Special Olympics Track & Field

Track and Field hasn’t been offered by Special Olympics Prince George for years, but throwing, jumping, and running is back! Two local athletes Marinka VanHage and Chase Caron even went to Langley for a qualifying event, and are back with some great results. Competing for the chance to represent Region 8 at next year’s Provincial games, Chase three gold medals and a pair of silvers, while Marinka received two second place ribbons, while adding a 4th and 6th. They’re back in town, and we talked to them about the keys to success, and what it was like competing at an event with 350 athletes!
