A cyclist is dead after an early morning collision with a pick-up truck Friday.
Prince George RCMP say it happened around 7:30 a.m. when officers responded to the accident on Highway 16 and Gauthier Road. A 64 year old man riding a tricycle with an electrical assist attempted to cross the road against a red light, when he was hit by the oncoming pick-up.
The man was transported to the University Hospital of Northern B.C., where he later died of his injuries.
The Prince George RCMP City Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate.
