BC's Ombudsperson Touring The Region

Seniors in the community had a chance to speak their minds about government today.
BC’s Ombudsperson Jay Chalke was on hand at the library to meet with seniors, to hear their concerns. A couple of years ago, that office released four different reports looking into government’s overall treatment of seniors in BC, and Chalke was in Prince George to discover if the issues in those reports are being adequately addressed.
“Our office has had long-standing interest in public administration as it impacts seniors,” says Chalke. “We released four systemic reports a couple of years ago and we continue to monitor the Health Authorities and the Ministry of Health in their implementation of almost 200 recommendations.”
The Ombudsperson will be travelling to Quesnel and points south in the days to come.
