The 5th annual Cougars Alumni golf tournament ran this weekend at the PG Golf & Curling Club, and was another huge success. On the first day, where players were auctioned off, over $50,000 dollars was raised for the Spirit of the North. It all goes to a great cause, and gives the former Cats a chance to connect with one another. 28 former Cougars were on the course this weekend, the most in the tournament’s history. Owners Dan Hamhuis and Eric Brewer were joined by players who suited up in the inaugural season, right up to this past year. The total amount raised will be released later in the week, and the players were impressed – or unimpressed – with their teammates’ skill level.
