New Turnoff at Ancient Forest

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

BC’s newest provincial park will soon be getting a brand-new, paved turnoff. Today, Shirley Bond announced $1 million dollars, which will build an intersection at the entrance to The Ancient Forest. In March, Premier Christy Clark was in Prince George to announce The Ancient Forest as the latest addition to its list of Class A Provincial Parks. Volunteers have spent countless hours building raised walkways to prevent damage to the forest floor. Government, biologists and volunteers are in the process of applying to have area designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
