Early Bird Draw Set For Hospice Dream Home Lottery

If you think you’re lucky enough to win a brand new home, then the Prince George Hospice Society Dream Home Lottery might just be your ticket.

For now, another early bird draw takes place Friday at 8 p.m. Prizes include a one thousand dollar gift card supplied by Koops Bikes and a two night stay at the Coast Inn of the North. Tickets are 100 dollars each with all proceeds going towards palliative care, grief support, and beds for those in need.

The 2418 square foot home is located at 7630 Creekside Way in Creekside Properties at the end of Malaspina Avenue in College Heights and is valued at more than 500 thousand dollars.

Executive Director of the Prince George Hospice Society, Donna Flood, says the support of the community is always appreciated. “We’re partially funded by Northern Heath, but only at 42 per cent and that’s a percentage that’s going down every year,” Flood said.  “Initially in 2009 we we’re supported at 66 per cent of the operational funding of the house, so that really means that we rely on the community to come out and buy our dream home tickets.”

The Grand Prize draw for the home goes October 27th and any ticket you buy now will enter you into all early bird draws as well. Around half of the 8999 tickets are already sold.
