The City is in the third and final stages of construction on a brand new skate park.
Crews have been designing and working on the project up in the Hart at Bravery Park since May. The 500 thousand dollar initiative will now be the second skate park in Prince George as concrete is expected to be laid out next week.
Engineering Assistant with The City of Prince George, Michael Le Morvan says the finishing touches of the project will be completed over the next month. “Right now they’re working on the concrete forms, the fine shaping of the banks and transitions,” he said. “After this they are going to go through the process of creating the flat slabs, adding the different features, and then the mobilization and cleanup.”
Skaters are looking forward to shredding it up when the park expects to be completed August 31st.
“I hope the people will enjoy this skate park as much as they have been enjoying the Rotary Park on Massey for the last decade,” Le Morvan said.
