Drone Hunting Illegal in BC

The province has made it clear, people who operate or possess a drone while hunting will be fined. The recently amended Wildlife Act regulation was put in place to protect wild animals from being harvested. President of the Spruce City Wildlife Association Steve Hamilton says their board fully supports the province’s move to make drones and the information gathered by a drone illegal. The minimum fine for hunting with a drone is $2,500, although a first conviction could cost a hunter $250,000 and up to two years in jail.
