Charges Laid In Cowart Road Break-In

Three people have been charged after an incident at a business on Cowart Road early Saturday morning.  Mounties responded to a reported break in around 4:00 in the morning.  As they pulled up, a pickup truck fled the scene, but not before ramming a police car.

The suspects were caught twenty minutes later, after they had rammed a parked vehicle along Pioneer Avenue.  Two men and two women were taken into custody.  A 30 year old female from Fort St. James was released on a promise to appear in court in September.

However 19 year old Madison Irene Calder of Prince George, 37 year old Adam Kelly McGowan of Fort St James and 31 year old Devon Andrew Jacobs of Fort St James were charged in connection with the incident and will remain in custody until their court date this week.  All three are charged with Break and Enter.  However McGowan is facing the most charges.  His six charges include Assaulting a Police Officer.

Two officers were injured in the incident and treated in hospital.  Their injuries are not life threatening.
