Free Downtown Breakfast Draws Big Crowd

Hundreds of people attended a free version of the most important meal of the day Saturday.

The third annual Canfor Breakfast served up pancakes, sausages, and eggs galore as a way of showing its appreciation and thanks to the community.

General Manager of Operations, Luke Drapeau, says events like this are held in Vanderhoof and Houston as well. “The turnout is more than we expected for sure, I think we’re over a thousand people,” he said. “Canfor started this a couple of years ago in all our different communities and it’s just a small way to say thank you to our employees, their families, our contractors, our First Nations stakeholders, and all our community partners in terms of thanking them for being part of our success.”
