Car Crashes Into School Field

A close call for a young driver around 10:30am. Witnesses say the vehicle clipped the curb on Quinn Street, shooting through a chain-link fence into the field at Quinson Elementary. The vehicle nearly missed a pole and tree. Witnesses say the young female driver appeared shaken, but in good condition. Thankfully the vehicle did not hit anyone; it came to a stop just metres away from the school playground. Police say the 18-year-old driver told them she was having a bad day; there was no indication alcohol was involved. Mounties say she was the lone occupant of the vehicle; she received a ticket for driving without due care and attention.
