Pacific Western Brewery had a few visitors – to say the least – stop by for a beer or two on Saturday.
The taps were flowing as the company hosted an open house in the afternoon and a special tailgate party in the evening. Northern B.C. Territory Manager for Pacific Western Brewery, Kyle Sampson, says the turnout was incredible. “We saw a sell-out crowd, just about 700 people, a full house, lots of beer was drank, the band was fantastic, and an overall good atmosphere for a community event.”
Taking the stage was local band, Audio Union and then Honeymoon Suite getting the crowd going to headline the performance. Sampson says the event brought fun times for everyone, but it was also for a good cause. “We put money towards reforestation projects and we’re looking forward to keeping that money here in the Northern BC region,” he said. In fact, all proceeds from the tailgate party and beer sales went to the PWB Foundation involved with many community causes including re-forestation. “We do that already with our Cariboo packs, we plant a tree with every pack of beer we sell, so now we are doing that with other events too,” Sampson said.
