Four days of the World Baseball Challenge are in the books, and there has already been a number of close games and impressive performances. Leading up to the event, the board was working diligently to make the tourney a success, and we caught up with Chairman, Rick Pattie, at the halfway mark of the event. Team Japan has asserted itself as a powerhouse, while the late addition to the tournament – the Roswell Invaders – also look plenty dangerous. The only thing left to be desired is more butts in the seats. Attendance has been less than hoped, but Pattie suggests there is still time in the eight day event to get out and watch some great baseball.
