Prince George’s Hospice House offers compassion and comfort for people nearing the end of life. But it also cares for families dealing with grief and loss. Cathy Solmonson stayed with her dad for 2 weeks; she wished there was a place to burn off negative energy. Returning to Hospice as a volunteer, Solmonson pitched the idea of a fitness room. Operations manager Bernadette Goudreau says the facility is much-needed, and Hospice greatly appreciates Solmonson’s efforts, and the donations from the community that made the project possible.
