Robbery Suspect Sought

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a commercial break and enter late last month. On Wednesday July 27th, 2016 the Prince George RCMP received a report of a Break & Enter to a commercial business, at Highway 97 and Handlen Road.  Officers attended and found that the fence to the locked compound had been cut and approximately $8000 worth of equipment and tools were stolen.

Some of the items stolen include:

·       Stihl TS700 Cutoff Saw with serial number H78007
·       Honda EU3000ISC Generator with serial number EZGF1377974
·       Makita reciprocating saw
·       Makita grinder
·       Makita drill
·       Makita impact drill
·       Makita multi-tool
·       Makita chargers (2)
·       Makita batteries (6)
·       20 litre jerry cans of gasoline (2)
·       20 litre jerry can of diesel
·       20 litre jerry can of water

The suspect is described as:

·       Caucasian male
·       Medium build
·       Dark beard and moustache
·       Wearing blue jeans and a distinctive light coloured hoody with “Van City” on the front

The business has taken steps to prevent this from happening again.  Police encourage all businesses to ensure all valuables are secured and security precautions are made prior to departing the property.  The use of a properly installed high quality video surveillance system is often beneficial to police investigations.
