More than a decade ago, Robin Choi came to Prince George to study English at CNC. Soon, he realized one year wasn’t enough to master the language. He went on to earn a Business degree at UNBC, started his career in banking, and now, has achieved his dream of becoming a Realtor. Choi is one of many success stories being celebrated at IMSS. From educational opportunities, to the friendly, helpful people, to the short commute and affordable housing, there are many reasons immigrants are drawn to Prince George. The Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society is celebrating the success stories of newcomers to Prince George. At the same time, the organization is looking for local mentors in its new Local Immigration Partnership program. The panel helps immigrants find jobs, and get accustomed to life in Canada.
