Another Cariboo Cougars signs a contract in the Western Hockey League. Today it was announced that forward Ty Kolle has come to an agreement with the Portland Winterhawks. Kolle, who is just 16 years old, was drafted by the Hawks in the fourth round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. This season with the Cariboo Cougars, he scored 11 goals and added 18 assists in 40 games, including a five goal breakout performance against the Thompson Blazers. The native of Quesnel won’t turn 17 until April, and remains with the Hawks at this point of the exhibition season.
