School District 57 Ahead In Anti-Bullying Policies

B.C. will soon require all schools to have explicit protections for sexual orientation and gender identity in their anti-bullying policies. The education minister is asking districts to make changes to update their policies. According to the BC teachers federation, the new requirements mean schools must support any student who chooses to reveal their sexual orientation. Here in District 57, board chair Tony Cable says work has already been done and continues.
