UNBC Women's Soccer Fall Short In Season-Opener

The UNBC Timberwolves Women’s Soccer Team didn’t get the start to the season they were looking for on Friday.

In their home-opener against the University of Winnipeg Wesmen, the T-Wolves fell short by a score of 4-0. Meaghan Lindsay score twice for Winnipeg, while Jamila Calvez and Hannah Lindgren would add single goals.

The Timberwolves were outshot 15-4. Winnipeg also finished with a 6-3 edge in shots on goal.

UNBC will now try to re-group with a day off on Saturday and then back to business on home turf Sunday for a noon kick-off against the Manitoba Bisons at the NCSSL Fields.
