2015 Canada Winter Games Dissolved

After eight and a half years, the 2015 Canada Winter Games Host Society will be dissolved as of 11 a.m. tomorrow. As a result of the Games, a total of $1.1 million in legacy funds were generated with $500,000 identified as a pre-game  Legacy Fund. The remaining surplus of $600,000 will now be provided to the Northern BC County Sport Development Society to help Northern BC athletes.
“As we close the 2015 Canada Winter Games Society it is with considerable pride that we transfer the remaining surplus funds to the Society to continue their support of North athletes,” says Anthony Everett, Chair of the Canada Games Host Society.
Additionally, the Host Society has signed an agreement with PacificSport Northern BC to transfer the Novak Family Legacy Wall fundraising initiative to help raises funds.
