Thanksgiving Food Drive Raises Fourteen Thousand Pounds Of Food

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

Volunteers at the Salvation Army were quite busy this weekend for the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Collecting food by the fork-lift and sorting through the hundreds of bags, more than 14-thousand pounds of food was collected. The Sally Anne did receive 565 dollars in cash donations and does expect more food to come in. A major donation like this can last up to eight or nine weeks, but demand is still high in the city.
