Spruce Kings Trade McCloskey, Add Grant to Crease

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

Spruce Kings GM Mike Hawes has made another move today, trading goalie Liam McCloskey to the Whitecourt Wolverines of the AJHL in exchange for future considerations. The team has added 18 year old net-minder Tavin Grant, a prospect for the Prince George Cougars. Last season with the Kings, McCloskey played in 34 games picking up eight wins and one shutout. Grant comes to Spruce Kings after a strong season last year with the Kamloops Storm of the KIJHL. In 12 games, the 6’1”, 174 lbs, Burnaby native posted an 8 – 4 record and one shutout with a 2.22 GAA and .922 SP.
