Old man winter is expected to make an early entrance this weekend through northeastern BC.
Environment Canada is predicting an Arctic front will push down from the north Friday, producing the first significant snowfall of the season.
The areas affected range from Highway 97 through the Pine Pass, to Fort St. John and north to Fort Nelson. Forecasters expect up to 10 cm of snow Friday evening through the Pine Pass, and another 10 cm of snow over the day Saturday.
Motorists travelling through the area are being warned to expect difficult winter driving conditions.
