There is more good news on the housing front in Prince George. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is reporting a rise in new home starts last month, when compared to 2015. There have been 26 new homes starts in the city compared to 22 a year ago. The figures build on a positive trend in 2016. 139 new home starts have been reported over the first nine months, 11 more than a year ago. And when you add in starts for multiple home dwellings, the 2016 number swells to 259 starts, a rise of more than 25 percent from a year ago.
