UPDATE: Missing Hiker Found

RCMP say a man who disappeared while on a hike over the weekend, has been found safe and sound.  Search and Rescue was looking for the man when he walked out of the bush on his own.


Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a day hiker that did not return home last night. At 10:30 PM, the Prince George RCMP received a report of an overdue hiker, 57-year-old Victor Gustafson.
Police say, when hiking, Gustafson frequents the area around the Wansa Creek Forest Service Road, Beaver Forest Service Road and the Willow River Rest area.
He is described as:

·       Caucasian male
·       183 cm (6’0″)
·       113 kg (249 lbs)
·       Greying brown hair with a beard
·       Last seen wearing a green & black toque, grey jacket and dark blue ski pants.

Gustafson was driving a blue 2002 Volkswagen Jetta (BC licence plate 079TWE) and was accompanied by his German Sheppard dog.
