District Encouraging Parents to Get Involved in Stopping Online Threats

If you have children enrolled in a Prince George public school, you may have received a parent advisory on “clown” threats. After a Code Yellow response was enacted district-wide on a couple occasions last week, School District 57 is calling on parents to help end online threats. They encourage parents to speak with their children about reporting threats they come across online to school administration or law enforcement. Past Chairperson of the District Parent Advisory Council, Sarah Holland, says “I don’t think that parents need to watch every character that comes out from their child, but certainly being aware of what your child is posting and talking to them about the real-life consequences.”
