Two People in Custody After Reported Human Trafficking and Forcible Confinement

On Wednesday October 12th, Prince George RCMP began an investigation into the reported human trafficking and forcible confinement of a female at a Prince George motel.

The victim is believed to have been held against her will for several days, and forced into the sex trade.

After attending the motel located on the 3600 block of Highway 97, a 33 year old male and 34 year old female were arrested without incident.

Jody Lee Burns is facing multiple charges including trafficking in persons, forcible confinement, sexual assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm while prohibited and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Jennifer Dawn Comadina is charged with trafficking of persons, forcible confinement and sexual assault with a firearm.

The two suspects are expected to appear in Provincial Court later toady.
