BizRide Kicks Off In PG

Representatives from the City and the local Chamber of Commerce toured 29 different small businesses in all corners of the city in an event that’s called Biz Ride. Biz Ride programs, sometimes called Business Walks, originated in Southern California in 2012. It involves the Chamber and City representatives going to the individual businesses in hopes of hearing concerns they may not otherwise hear at a traditional Chamber meeting.
“We are always looking for advocacy pieces for our committee to work on and to be able to champion at different bodies of government,” says Chamber President Cindy Pohl.
Small business makes up 98% of all businesses in BC, employ over one million British Columbians and account for 33% of the province’s gross domestic product.
