Speaking of the Cats, they have made a move, acquiring 1999 born forward Josh Maser and a sixth round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for 1999 born forward Adam Kadlec. If the name is familiar, it’s because Maser played last season with the Cariboo Cougars, notching 37 points and 52 penalty minutes in 32 games. The 6’2, 215lb power forward is an absolute handful, as you can tell, and was a 4th round pick of the Raiders in the 2014 draft. He’s currently with the Kamloops Storm of the KIJHL and has already potted three goals and two assists in two games. Good pickup by GM Todd Harkins and the Cats.
