Mattila, Cariboo Cougars To Drop the Mitts With Mental Health

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

The Cariboo Cougars will have a special game for a great cause tomorrow, in conjunction with the team’s launching of a new mental wellness initiative called MindRight. The idea was brought forward by Myles Mattila, 17 year old Assistant Captain of the Cats, who told us what sparked the idea. Myles is a spokesperson for, and has been advocating for mental health initiatives around the province for several years. The Cariboo boys will wear special green jerseys tomorrow, and admission is by donation. They hope to strengthen community connections and awareness, and will include informative booths from local agencies.
