Cougars Complete Weekend Sweep of Royals

The first place Cariboo Cougars had every one on the edge of their seat at Kin1 Sunday, wondering just when the first place club in the BCMMHL would put away its first goal of the game.

It took nearly 50 minutes, but the cats managed to gain some momentum in the third period to complete a weekend sweep of the South Island Royals.

Tyler Maser managed to score the game winner for Cariboo, while Mason Richey and Joel Patsey put away goals of their own to improve the club’s record to 9-1 on the season.

Cougars goalie, Zach Wickson earned the shut-out in the 11 save performance.

The Cougars will now travel to Kamloops next weekend for a pair of games against the Thompson Blazers.
