Another road game, another road victory for the Prince George Cougars.
The Cats continued their perfect streak on the road this season with a 2-1 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday night.
The Cougars got on the board just under four minutes into the first period. Jansen Harkins slid a shot past Hurricanes goalie Stuart Skinner. Harkins collected his fourth goal of the season on the play with now a total of 14 points in just 10 games.
Lethbridge would answer back just a few minutes later though. Girgio Estephan tied the game up 1-1 when he found the back of the net, shooting the puck through the legs of Cougars goalie Ty Edmonds.
Both teams battled back and forth in the first period, but it was Prince George catching a lucky break late in the frame. Bartek Bison was able to crash the net and knock a puck out of the air past Skinner to put the Cats up 2-1 and seal the victory.
Ty Edmonds made 28 saves on 29 shots in the win. Prince George now travels to Calgary for a match-up with the Hitmen Saturday night at 6 p.m. PST.
