This is a record setting day in Prince George. Environment Canada says our old record high was eclipsed by the lunch hour. W reached our new record of 18 at 1:00pm. The warm weather is courtesy of the so-called Pineapple Express, which is pushing warm air from the Hawaiian Islands region, across British Columbia. By the time the day is over, several records across the province are expected to fall.
The old record of 16.7 was set in 1930. This is also the warmest recorded November day in our history, beating the old record of 17.4 on November 11th, 1981.
Environment Canada says we normally see only one day of temperatures above 10C in November. But already this month, we’ve experienced 7 days above 10C.
