The Prince George Spruce Kings completed its two game road trip on a winning note Friday night.
After a tough 2-1 OT loss to the Surrey Eagles on Thursday, Prince George managed to bounce right back to defeat the Coquitlam Express 6-3 Friday night.
The Spruce Kings got off to a quick start, scoring three goals within the first 15 minutes of the game to take a 3-1 lead after the first frame. Travis Schneider struck first for PG, followed by goals from Parker Colley, and Jarod Hovde.
Hovde and Schneider would both score on the powerplay in the second period to give Prince George some extra breathing room to put PG up 5-2 after two periods.
Coquitlam and Prince George would trade goals in the third with Sam De Melo scoring his first as a Spruce King to seal the victory.
The Spruce Kings outshot the Express 48 to 35.
Prince George now takes a few days off and will be back on home ice November 18th against the Nanaimo Clippers.
