"Keep the Peace" Movement in PG Tonight

The Sierra Club of BC and the Sea to Sands Conservation Alliance will be touring through the Cariboo this week, carrying a message about the perils of the Site C project.
The groups say the hydroelectric project will  ruin thousands of hectares of land that can be used to grow vegetables for as many as a million people.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives also says the multi-billion dollar project is a waste of taxpayer dollars. An event is set to take place at UNBC in Room 7-212 at 6:30 p.m. Admission is by donation and the proceeds will support Treaty 8 First Nations’ legal challenge of the project.
