PG Ringette Celebrates 25th Annual Joy Hoffman Memorial Tournament

Prince George was first introduced to ringette in 1980, and continues to thrive 36 years later. Joy Hoffman was integral in the growth of the game, until her death in 1992, and the current executive gives her a ton of credit for where their sport is today. Joy Hoffman’ s legacy continued this week with the 25th annual Joy Hoffman Memorial ringette tournament. In recognition of Hoffman’s contributions to the sport, a commemorative cake-cutting ceremony was held at the Kin Centre atrium. Her daughters were on hand, and spoke about what their Mom would say.
